Marina Coves is located in Mohave County, Arizona, which is, and has been for years, one of the fastest-growing counties in America. During the 1990s, the County grew at an annual rate of 65.8%, placing it first in the state for this time period. More than 2,200,000 people visit Arizona’s “West Coast” each year, bringing more than $500,000,000 in tourism dollars with them. This activity has resulted in a dramatic increase in the demand for vacation homes and related activities. Baby boomers are also flooding this and other “hot weather” states, leading to a recent influx of year-round residents, in addition to those seeking second or weekend homes. A corresponding explosion of housing activity has occurred in the local area as thousands of residential units are being snapped up by vacationers, active retirees and nearby residents who have been “priced out of” Las Vegas and seek the lower prices in Laughlin/Bullhead City.
